Project Manager - Software & Mission Systems
ReOrbit is looking for a Project Manager – Software & Mission Systems to lead all software, mission‑system, and ground‑segment integration activities for the SiltaSat GEO satellite.
This role ensures the successful development, verification, release, and in‑orbit validation of mission‑critical software for long‑duration GEO operations.

This job can be based in our headquarter in Helsinki, Finland or Bengaluru, India.
Responsibilities
Lead flight software development and integration activities.
Coordinate ground systems and mission‑operations interfaces.
Manage mission‑system integration across flight, ground, and operational elements.
Interpretation of software architecture documents and ICDs.
Oversee software verification, validation, and configuration tracking.
Lead in‑orbit validation planning for GEO commissioning and long‑term operations.
Coordinate with software teams, mission operations, and simulation stakeholders.
Support ground‑segment integration and mission readiness events.
Serve as custodian of the Software Interface Design Description Document, covering:
Data structures and formats
Data rates and bandwidth
Encryption and cybersecurity
Edge‑computing and onboard processing logic
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
5+ years of experience in flight software, mission systems, or ground‑segment development within a space or aerospace organization.
Strong understanding of software lifecycle processes, V&V methodologies, and mission‑system architectures for GEO missions.
Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary engineering and mission‑operations team
Understanding of real‑time embedded software and onboard data‑handling systems.
Experience with simulation frameworks, digital twins, and automated testing.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure data‑handling for space systems.
