ReOrbit is looking for a Senior Buyer with proven experience handling complex, high-value procurements and leading strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, works effectively across functions, especially with engineering teams and plays a key role in managing supplier partnerships and supporting critical business objectives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads the full RFP lifecycle from initial supplier engagement to proposal evaluation, negotiation, and contract award, ensuring alignment with technical and contractual requirements

• Manages supplier relationships end-to-end, from RFP development through post-award administration, for high-value, high-complexity procurements.

• Establishes and negotiates subcontract agreements, leveraging deep expertise in procurement strategy, supplier evaluation, and compliance-driven sourcing.

• Serves as project owner for major sourcing initiatives, driving cross-functional coordination, timelines, and successful outcomes

• Drives cost savings and value optimization through strategic sourcing, relationship building, and creativity

• Takes initiatives to troubleshoot procurement related bottlenecks & challenges by liaising with Engineering and other relevant stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

• 5-7 years of subcontract-specific experience

• Experience owning and managing strict budgets

• Understands the various contract structures and their differences

• Strategic sourcing experience, especially within Asian (India) markets

• English speaking (CFER C1 equivalent).

• Interpersonal skills to establish rapport with the colleagues and gain their support in getting the job done.

• Proactiveness in acting quickly, sharing progress updates regularly, and flagging risks or blockers early.
